How much traffic does leaks get?

It's impossible to tell exactly what the traffic level is because Eccileaks.com is too tiny to be measured by the usual websites like Alexa. There are three basic kinds of traffic to the site: the core leakers who create 99.9% of the posts, lurkers who want to read any dirt or character assassination that is posted, and researchers who look at the stolen reviews. Since the posting and the update of the reviews is sporadic, traffic will vary from day to day. The average daily traffic is probably between 50 and 75 visitors (total, not unique). The owners of the site try hard to trick the casual observer into thinking that there is much more than that. They have placed a counter at the top of the page that increments everytime someone clicks on a page; I browsed around the site for five minutes one evening and added hundreds of "hits" to the counter without even logging in. At the bottom of the page, they keep a count of users online which starts at 25 even though no one is logged in. The number of guests online starts near 300. The daily total count also starts the day somewhere above 300 and goes up from there. The Forum Stats count of members just above it is over 3000 now, but vast majority of these are created by the site owners and have zero activity; many copy or ape handles currently used on Eccie.net. All of this is just smoke and mirrors to hide the truth about themselves - that they are pariahs in the hobby world.
